ReFabricated is a non-profit organisation dedicated to minimising the environmental burden that textile waste bears on the environment. By repurposing discarded fabrics, we combat the substantial amount of wasted textiles that enters landfills yearly.
ReFabricated had the privilege of hosting a free workshop with financial assistance from the Intercultural Youth Microgrant Service Corps . During the workshop, we taught a cohort of eager students how to make our flowers, with all materials provided. We had the honour of having Julie Thacker from Brainmaster come as a guest speaker to educate the children on creative outlets and mindfulness.
I am excited to announce that we have finalised an art workshop for kids ages 6-12 with no registration fee! 🎨🌿 It will be taking place at a local library in Coquitlam, Poirier branch on two separate dates.
